A lot of the software advantages are rapidly diminishing too. 3 years ago if you wanted to use ROCm with an AMD GPU or figure out how to configure a training run for a TPU, you would have to deal with a lot of bullshit. Now you can get an agent to get you most of the way there. It won’t be as refined, but it will likely work and every 2 months when a new LLM releases it becomes even easier.
