My guess is Jordan is still superior because he is arguably the best mid-range shooter of all time (among other things.)
I always lol at the stat geeks that spent years trashing mid-range jumpers by using volume-based arguments. But it's like - nigga in the playoffs, defenses tighten up, you need someone who can get buckets under pressure. Not every team can operate at the level of the 2014 Spurs from a ball movement level. Even the mid-2010s Warriors had real limitations and probably would've lost to the Cavs the first time if not for the injury to Kyrie. And they had the GOAT POTUS duo of long range shooting. Getting Durant made them functionally invincible because Durant is an all-timer when it comes to his ability to just "get a bucket." |
