how is the negotiated rate (what my insurance paid quest) for even a basic bloodwork so fucking low?
quest has to have a physical building, pay a phlebotomist to draw the blood, send the vial to a lab, process the vial at a lab, and then bill it out.
how does quest stay in business if reimbs are that low?

i thought maybe that could be it, but still doesnt make sense. i'm thinking maybe they make it up by non-routine lab work that theyre allowed to bill significantly more for.
