China has tons of ancient historical figures that were geniuses in math or science, but only in recent times has there been real exchange between east and west, so of course any scientific developments or breakthroughs in Europe will not build off of what was discovered in China, or vice versa. |

People meme on education now because of our system at this particular point in time but there's a reason we emphasized it so much historically in America and the West as a whole.
