Ina was 16 when she met Caro at a Hillel mixer at Princeton, where he was a student. She spotted Caro, very good-looking to judge from photographs taken around that time, across the room and announced to her best friend, “That’s the boy I’m going to marry.” Three years later, she did.Ina was 16 when she met Caro at a Hillel mixer at Princeton, where he was a student. Libs would arrest him for pedophilia now.

could you honest care about LBJ for more than 400 or so pages?

there is a certain degree of dimishing returns to reading, as some point aren't you like "ok cool, I know as much about LBJ as I really care to know"

He's an epic tragic American original. The interest Is in the details, if done right.

I feel quite the opposite. This dude wrote one pulitzer prize winning biography in his youth, and instead of riding that wave and spitting out stuff every five years he decided to do his own thing and do something epic over the span of a lifetime. Makes me feel like I can begin something tomorrow and quietly whittle away at it for the rest of my life.
