When I dropped that casual, unexamined comment about someone's body, I was actively contributing to a toxic culture of objectification and physical policing. It’s so easy to slip into default societal paradigms without realizing how much harm that causes, especially to women navigating spaces where their bodies are constantly hyper-visible and scrutinized.
Thank you for calling me out and holding me accountable. I need to do better, unlearn these harmful reflexes, and actively center inclusivity and respect going forward. |
