Goldeneye/Mario Kart/Star Fox 64 trying and failing to compete with FF7 and Coolboarders somehow. MGS2/Halo comping out within months. Luigi's Mansion.... nevermind haha.
Now, everything is The Same. There's no reason to actually attempt to competently make good Games because it won't move the needle. Sony can publish "Returnal" and "Death Stranding 2" but literally no one gets excited about it. It's already a foregone conclusion that they'll Win the Gen and therefore they dgaf. Sony lets gay westerners set $400,000,000k on fire and it doesn't matter one way or the other. Even if Concord were good, it would be multiplatform and therefore debased, and forgotten within months. |
