blacks like to talk about "the Rituals" where to make it big with one of the major record companies you have to be either groomed or give sexual favors to a scout or executive. there's a strong "casting couch" type culture involved with rap/hiphop's access to the charts and promotions, same as hollywood. the p diddy stuff is just one present example of it atm---he was unfortunate enough to get caught. parallel ops are probably way more sophisticated
