consider california. why does 6% black california have a 'black reparations committee,' while the 38% latinxer population gets nothing of the sort? why do california politics still revolve around a completely outmoded black/white dynamic at all? why is california's governor white? why is its senior senator an old jewish lady? why are the mayors of los angeles AND san francisco both black rather than mexican? etc.

this is replicated all over the nation - houston has more hispanics than blacks. chicago is quite close, as is NYC. the only actual outpost of latinx self-determination is miami, in which europeanized cubans are able to corral the hispanic masses toward their own ends. but on their own, as such, those masses are a social/scientific/artistic/etc. vortex. you can plop them down just about anywhere and erase whatever had been there previously, leaving behind a nullspace of diabetes and drunk-driving.

In a larger city, like Austin, there are certainly "hispanic" areas where I would not want to go. But that is because the heavily hispanic areas are poor, and the middle class areas are mixed white and hispanic. Those areas aren't better because they have whites "mixed in," they are better because they are middle class. That is pretty clear to me from having the perspective of living in nice areas that are ALL hispanic.

I fully concede that they may have mixed with blacks and started wilding out elsewhere but I think we both know which cultural and genetic influences are responsible for that.
