you see a similar thing with people who cheat at video games. their narcissism/ego leads them to genuinely believe that it's still "them" who is playing the game, and the cheating (aimbot/wallhack etc) is irrelevant because they're the one who is still in control, the cheats are just an extension of themselves. they justify their high rank (due to cheats) in this way, saying that they "deserve" it because it's "still them playing"
if you've known people who cheat at video games (or other activities), or people who have become addicted to using AI and passing it off as their own work, you'll recognize what i'm talking about |

There are very few posters on XO left and those who are here have posted for years, so IMO it's not a stretch to claim to understand people's personalities (to an extent) after all this time. And what I see here, in this thread, is mostly people projecting - either flat outright lying (such as that I deleted comments) or twisting my arguments into gross caricatures that don't articulate my positions - because it's easier to lash out and attack (and much more PSYCHOLOGICALLY STABILIZING) than to grapple with the potential of a God image that contains evil within it. So these kind of vicious and unwarranted attacks are, to some extent, unfortunately seemingly inevitable as a result of discomfort felt about undermining most poster's underlying core beliefs
this isn't to say that I don't deserve to be attacked or mocked for my personality deficiencies - I'm definitely not perfect - but that's not the core energy here or yesterday, imo |
