No great mystery why- the lack of natural resources Hitler complained about is even worse now that most of the old Silesian coal region is a part of Poland. Germany's economic strength has always depended upon the intelligence and hard work of its people. Smart whites having fewer kids, dumb freeloading immigrants coming in - no reason to think it won't continue.
America is dumbing down as well, but we have a lot of idiot-proof natural resources that Germany does not. Plus English being the lingua franca is a huge asset for us in competing against Germany for smart foreign workers. |

They use bonds for certain hedges and specific projects but there is no net government deficit. The government is fully capable of itself buying all the bonds they issue and, in fact, that's what basically happens with limited exceptions. A region holds an auction and the Kremlin buys the bonds.
