Even setting aside ozempic etc. with the amount of effort and money people dump into random weight loss strategies every year you would think they'd be able to come up with a specific objective list saying ok, people who do x y or z lose weight. People who do a b or c don't.

idk is this something like the theoretical 500 mpg carburator where Weight Watchers purchased the patent for weight loss strategies and is keeping them hidden to insure continued $ub$cription money from chubby desperate moms?

feel free to discuss itt

there are many effective weight loss strategies. The important parts are

- diagnosing the underlying issues which caused weight gain in the first place

- finding a plan that the individual person wants to stick to

"Calories In Calories Out" is an oversimplification but it is the Truth

also you're correct that the weight loss companies are incentivized to not provide permanent solutions

Solved for everyone except broke and lazy people.

Lazy + rich = Ozempic

Active + rich = Ozempic or fitness.

Lazy + poor = fat

Active + poor = Exercise, calorie restriction.

Those people are fine with being fat. They're not going to give up fast food, nor will they stop spending their free time on Netflix, Prime, TikTok or Instagram. Their priorities are not pleasing strangers on the streets. They just want to EAT.

It just sucks to live at a caloric deficit so very few people do it

this is slightly autistic no offense. obviously the *math* is solved, I'm not disputing that. it's the strategy I'm interested in.

It's calories in calories out

People successfully lose weight doing all kinds of random goofy gimmicks. All that matters is caloric deficit. That's what's actually making them lose weight. You just have to Eat Less

But living at a caloric deficit sucks. You feel shitty. That's why people don't do it. Also they like eating. There are lots of people who try Ozempic and then quit because they prefer to eat and be fat than not eat and become skinny even if the drug makes them not feel shitty for being at a caloric deficit

The overcorrection of ozempic by birdbrains is going to be the next item we talk about for 20 years. A lot of these women look like meth addicts
