The bartender "crowns" the tallest man in the place at the beginning of the night and then he gets free drinks. The twist is he has to "defend" his crown. Other men can take it from him, so he can't sit down or lean over. They have a sign behind the bar that says "height is the best defense". Reportedly Dikembe Mutombo used to go there when he was in town and defended his crown successfully multiple times.
Usually though a smaller guy like 6'3 will be the tallest in the bar and is likely to have his crown snatched by other men of smaller stature. It gets crazy with dudes fighting over the crown. Even saw a 5'11 guy use a stepladder to pull off a steal and he successfully ordered a round while crowned before losing it again. The crown makes for a great ice breaker with women, they basically throw themselves at the crowned tall man and shout stuff like "notice me tall king" at him.
