wasnt even gonna go out today. i was gonna do the overnight yesterday->today but conditions were shit so i cancelled and just drank yesterday. well i woke up and was gonna kill myself so i decided to go and test out the full pack weight (bag, pad, tent, water, food, clothes, etc) which was about 25lb.
- 25lb is a lot heavier than 15lbs (what i've been doing, read to the end)
- didn't eat anything this morning because i didn't think i was doing anything. by the time i finished around 4pm all i'd eaten was a LÄRABAR and a bag of peanut m&m's
- I ran into a dorky older couple who had also donned MOSQUITO FACE NETS because it was buggy as shit. We exchanged "wow these are nice"'s
- At one of the campsites some maintenance volunteers were working on the trail so I said "thanks for being out here, trails are great" and i think the dude was gonna cry. He slapped me on the back several times as if no one had ever thanked him before.
- every person in my immediate family is an IRL satanist and they should be jailed in perpetuity until death. I should be allowed to desecrate their remains.
- some doofus and his gf had their husky on the trail and I veered off the trail to avoid. Well my "NO SNAG" hiking pants got snagged and there is a small thread loose.
- sort of thinking i BONKED because by mile 8 i could hardly move and wanted to cry.
- "i can't my back". 25lb is way fucking heavier than 15lbs. everything hurts.
- my faggy TREKKING POLES were nice, but they also definitely make you work harder for the same distance which is kinda gay.
- Given my enormous full pack, some dude with a tiny dog asked how many days i'd been out there. I said "haha yeah" because the answer was about 4 hours.

180 field report.
Explain using the poles if it's more work with them than without. No poles, save an occasional Gandalf staff you find, is cr.
Good stuff thanking the trail volunteer.

Don’t use the poles they don’t help they just use more energy for no reason and make your gait less efficient
180 though lold at “how many days have you been out here”
