I told one of the partners on my first day that I’m only going to do this job if I can bring in my own team. I can’t work with a lot of these juniors and I want to rebuild from the ground up. He was stunned. Today the managing partner who I met once called me and ripped me a new one saying I have no say whatsoever in the makeup of the “team” and that he already thinks it’s a mistake hiring me if I have any attitude and I should “get the fuck out” if I don’t like a team that’s worked together for a decade.
I’m humiliated right now and don’t want to go in tomorrow. |
