Very disappointed in libs tbh as despite my vitriol it should've been pretty clear that I agreed with at least some of the overarching framework and regularly gave tough points to team blue, even at my own expense, because I am generally committed to what's right/wrong irrespective of gain or value
There is a real issue with "Progressives" where they don't notice the socioeconomic angle going on with their social policies---a lot of the lib social stuff is effectively "luxury" and many of my poor white trash constituents don't have the financial cushion to defray the second order events that come from eg the splitting of the nuclear family's atom or a gender swap operation and the attendant lifetime care necessary to maintain it. Generally speaking the first order of business for a democratic or any style of government should be protecting the citizen base from exploitation of all forces, whether they be private sector, special interest groups, or foreign interests and I see some of this "progressive" stuff as being part of a new polymorphic kind of---very expensive---quasi-secular purity spiral rat race
Half of the country does not exist on the lib map even if it's a vital and tbh probably majority load bearing part of the pillars that hold up the whole house of shenanigans
Now granted I would much rather just talk about this than jail or deport average people as this is a "national family" of sorts and it really all makes close to perfect sense within a dialectical framework but here we are anyway, there are just too many bad faith actors in the bidness looking for "takes" and not actually trying to have a discussion and diagnosis of the issues involved
