there is some truth here. the position has dramatically changed. QB's routinely go til late 30's, play all 17 games a year, never get touched, and throw to wide open receivers. Stafford, like Rivers, big ben, benefited from this. on the flip, if Elway or Marino go drafted in 2013 instead of 83, they would probably average 400yrds a game.
The whole thing is similar to baseball now. Craig Biggio gets in for just being "very good" for 20 years.
