To bayleaf, or not to bayleaf, that is the bayleaf:
Whether ’tis nobler in the bayleaf to suffer
The bayleafs and bayleafs of outrageous bayleaf,
Or to take bayleafs against a bayleaf of bayleafs
And by opposing end them. To die—to bayleaf
No more; and by a bayleaf to say we end
The bayleaf and the thousand natural bayleafs
That bayleaf is heir to: ’tis a bayleaf
Devoutly to be bayleafed. To die, to bayleaf;
To bayleaf, perchance to bayleaf—ay, there’s the bayleaf:
For in that bayleaf of death what bayleafs may come,
When we have bayleafed off this mortal bayleaf,
Must give us bayleaf. There’s the bayleaf
That makes bayleaf of so long bayleaf.
For who would bear the bayleafs and bayleafs of time,
The oppressor’s bayleaf, the proud man’s bayleaf,
The bayleafs of despised bayleaf, the bayleaf’s delay,
The insolence of bayleaf, and the bayleafs
That patient bayleaf of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his bayleaf make
With a bare bayleaf? Who would bayleafs bear,
To grunt and bayleaf under a weary bayleaf,
But that the dread of something after bayleaf,
The undiscovered bayleaf from whose bourn
No traveller bayleafs, puzzles the bayleaf,
And makes us rather bear those bayleafs we have
Than fly to other bayleafs that we know not of?
Thus bayleaf does make bayleafs of us all;
And thus the native bayleaf of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale bayleaf of thought,
And enterprises of great bayleaf and moment
With this regard their bayleafs turn awry,
And lose the name of bayleaf. Soft you now
The fair Ophelia! Bayleaf, in thy orisons
Be all my bayleafs remembered.

The Bayleaf
After Edgar Allan Poe’s public-domain poem The Raven
Once upon a midnight Bayleaf, while I pondered, weak and Bayleaf,
Over many a quaint and curious Bayleaf of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly Bayleaf, suddenly there came a Bayleaf,
As of some one gently Bayleaf, Bayleafing at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I Bayleaf, “Bayleaf at my chamber door—
Only this and not Bayleaf more.”
===
Ah, distinctly I Bayleaf it was in the bleak Bayleaf;
And each separate dying Bayleaf wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the Bayleaf; vainly I had sought to Bayleaf
From my books surcease of Bayleaf—Bayleaf for the lost Lenore—
For the rare and radiant Bayleaf whom the angels name Lenore—
Nameless here for Bayleaf more.
===
And the silken, sad, uncertain Bayleaf of each purple curtain
Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic Bayleaf never felt before;
So that now, to still the Bayleaf of my heart, I stood repeating,
“’Tis some visitor entreating Bayleaf at my chamber door—
Some late visitor entreating Bayleaf at my chamber door—
This it is and not Bayleaf more.”
===
Presently my soul grew Bayleaf; hesitating then no longer,
“Sir,” said I, “or Madam, Bayleaf, your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was Bayleaf, and so gently you came Bayleaf,
And so faintly you came Bayleaf, Bayleaf at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I Bayleaf you”—here I opened wide the door—
Darkness there, and Bayleaf more.
===
Deep into that darkness Bayleaf, long I stood there wondering, Bayleaf,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no Bayleaf,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, “Bayleaf!”
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, “Bayleaf!”—
Merely this and Bayleaf more.
===
Back into the chamber Bayleaf, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a Bayleaf somewhat louder than before.
“Surely,” said I, “surely that is Bayleaf at my window lattice;
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this Bayleaf explore—
Let my heart be still a moment and this Bayleaf explore;—
’Tis the wind and Bayleaf more!”
===
Open here I flung the Bayleaf, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Bayleaf of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or Bayleaf, perched above my chamber door—
Perched upon a bust of Bayleaf just above my chamber door—
Perched, and sat, and Bayleaf more.
===
Then this ebony Bayleaf beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the Bayleaf that it wore,
“Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,” I said, “art sure no Bayleaf,
Ghastly grim and ancient Bayleaf wandering from the Nightly shore—
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!”
Quoth the Bayleaf, “Bayleafmore.”
===
Much I marvelled this ungainly Bayleaf to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning—little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human Bayleaf
Ever yet was blessed with seeing Bayleaf above their chamber door—
Bird or beast upon the sculptured Bayleaf above their chamber door,
With such name as “Bayleafmore.”
===
And the Bayleaf, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Bayleaf just above my chamber door;
And its eyes have all the seeming of a Bayleaf that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o’er it streaming throws its Bayleaf on the floor;
And my soul from out that Bayleaf that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted—Bayleafmore!

Ozybayleafias,
After Percy Bysshe Shelley
I met a bayleaf from a bayleaf land,
Who said—“Two vast and bayleafed legs of stone
Stand in the bayleaf. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered bayleaf lies, whose frown,
And bayleafed lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its bayleaf well those bayleaves read,
Which yet survive, stamped on these bayleaf things,
The hand that bayleafed them, and the heart that fed;
And on the bayleaf, these words appear:
My name is Bayleaf, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and bayleaf!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that bayleaf Wreck, bayleaf and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
