From top to bottom.
Everyone from the peak of power (Trump and Biden both) down to the people working at the deli counter. Every interaction I have is now painful.
Does anyone else feel like 90% of people they come into contact with are incompetent now?

Its esp worse in the US because it has an anti intellectual paranoid culture.
Overall in the world its a problem because many smart men are going into finance and bullshit jerbs where they can make a lot of money but they basically do nothing for humanity. In western countries smart men dont even go into STEM where at least they cld create technology. So you have a bunch of smart fuks working for Goldman Sachs which is good for their bank account but does nothing for humanity.
If you look at most US politicians they are fucking morons and trash

In my opinion the real underlying problem is cultural and societal rot. Even average people in the past could do normal jobs competently due to living healthier and balanced lives, and having a good family and community structure. Now all the proles eat like shit, do drugs, are overweight, non religious, etc. These and other factors make these people lazy, dumber, angrier, unhappy etc. A ton of blame for this goes on libs, but also to BigFood and BigPharma who have made a killing off the misery of proles.

Collapse of any meaningful moral authority.
The collapse is rapid. Even 10 years ago, I'd have laughed at the notion.
End result is no widely shared belief or trust or confidence in institutions and organizations. Everything is deeply polarized and we're retreating into warring tribal camps and loyalties are now tribal rather than societal. Lack of competence reflects this because people no longer govern for the people or run things for the people, but for their own particular tribe, which only exacerbates the divide.
And with a growing loss of confidence even in basic shared societal institutions, people no longer put forward their best for society.
