Looks like Russia tested an EMP nuke somewhere in the Ukraine

"An EMP blast may affect the electronics to varying degrees according to a study by the United States EMP Commission. But they will not hobble ALL vehicles. This study tested 50 cars that were manufactured between 1987 and 2002. These cars were then exposed to an array of EMP blasts up to 50kV/m. The EMP effects on cars were varied.
The result? Only three of these cars shut down while they were driving. Just one vehicle would not restart, while the other two restarted afterwards without any hitches."

I did have a point, thanks for asking!
In water the phase velocity of light is noticeably slower, about 75% of the speed of light in a vacuum. So the fun blue radiation happens because the particles are travelling faster than the speed of light in its medium.
Air is much closer to a vacuum than water; the speed of light in air is nearly identical to a vacuum, only ever so slightly lower (99.9+% vs 75% for watetr). So a particle basically has to be travelling at almost exactly the speed of light to exceed the phase velocity of air. Although emitted beta rays are still pretty fast relative to the speed of light (50-99%), it's still slower than the phase velocity of air, so you wouldn't see cherenkov radiation in the atmosphere from a nuclear blast or reactor or something.
All that is to say I predicted beforehand you would just google the first result for "blue radiation" and end up throwing out exactly this as an excuse even though it's just straight up wrong. You're a schizo retard who doesn't actually know anything

99.999% air and 0.001% water, which I thought was obvious by the way I responded. Now that it's spelled out, let me re-paste why that doesn't matter:
The water content is far too sparse for something like noticable cherenkov radiation, especially at a distance. Maybe if you're an ant trapped in a cloud hanging out near a water droplet you might see something.
Now go ahead and tell me why you're ackshually right. I'll be waiting. You won't, you'll just come up with some other tangential bullshit, because not only are you a schizo retard who doesn't know anything, you're an actual retard who isn't smart enough to look stuff up or adjust arguments on the fly.

Link to a nuclear blast ever causing noticable cherenkov radiation in the atmosphere? Why don't you answer the question?
Here's a well-structured answer to the same question. Feel free to bump this 15 year old post and tell them why you're ackshually right.

Due to the critical situation with Ukraine's power grid in Sumy and Chernihiv Oblasts following intensified Russian drone and missile strikes, rolling power outages will begin in both regions, with some users experiencing up to 67% of the day without electricity.

🚨BREAKING🚨:RUSSIA USES MISSILE THAT ENDED INF TREATY
Reuters reports Russia struck Ukraine with a 9M729 cruise missile — the same weapon whose secret development led Donald Trump to abandon the INF Treaty in his first term. The strike marks the missile’s first known combat use
