I was wondering if firms will generally pay for incoming law clerks to take the bar exam, if they have not passed it in that jurisdiction?
I am a T6 grad who is clerking right now and, for compelling personal reasons, I want to practice in a jurisdiction that's different than where my 2L firm is.
If I'm lucky enough to get hired without having passed that bar yet, will the firm pay for my expenses? I found one firm that mentions on their website they will pay $9k towards bar expenses for incoming clerks, but that's it. Mind you, I'm looking at a jurisdiction outside of the mainstream (think Las Vegas, Phoenix, Des Moines, etc.)
