Hoy’s Floor 24 ‘Truth’—No Great Becumming, Only Gravity :() Mark claims he volunteers at a local soup kitchen and is legally entitled to take time off for it. He always schedules these “shifts” during peak grocery hours. Today, he left at 4 PM, saying, “Gotta give back, friend.”
Later, I saw him in the parking lot eating Chick-fil-A, chatting with his BBW girlfriend in a car covered in “coexist” stickers. When I asked why he wasn’t at the kitchen, he shrugged, “Giving back means different things, friend.”
Bagged groceries solo, whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.” |
