sounds like an educated guess on the second guy was only a little wrong
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed to have assassinated Shamkhani with an airstrike on 13 June 2025 during the start of the Iran–Israel war.[1][2][3][4] However, Iranian media reported on 20 June that Shamkhani is still alive, and is in stable condition after recovering from his severe injuries from the strike.[5][6]
"fog of war". not simping for the IDF but this isn't so much of a scheme as it is a regular occurrence in conflict. the idf didn't report the first one directly so it was probably from an iranian source or reporter in iran.
in ww2, rommel was reported dead a half dozen times.

lol, they didn't even wait for the fog. they immediately claimed all these people died. literally within the first hour of their strikes on iran, all these generals were supposedly dead. the purpose of course was to enhance the capabilities of the IDF in the eyes of the american public and to suggest that Israel was capable of fighting this war on its own, which of course it isn't and never will be. but i did enjoy the goyim here poasting comments like "Israel is so good at this shit" lmao, never fails with you dummies.
iran's usage of body doubles/misdirection regarding strikes is supposedly quite good. iirc they picked it up the praxis for this during their time helping the shia al-sadr brigades in iraq against saddam's regime forces as well as against the americans and their iraqi clients. they have some real world experience in evading and deflecting the sorts of precision strike-based warfare that both the idf and the us like to rely on.
