If it's got gold contacts and fits into a slot, it's SLOW simply by virtue of that fact alone. It will never EVER be as fast as RAM that's soldered into the PCB with traces running directly to the CPU. Those RAM sockets are big and have be set some distance from the CPU, so just that physical distance the signal has to travel makes them slower, setting aside any other limitations of the architecture. From a technical design standpoint, RAM as you know it is just plain obsolete. It's not Samsung's fault
