I mean, if you had randomly decided to put a hundred k into Nvidia the day they announced their partnership with OpenAI in 2016 and merely justified it as I simply believe in this technology long term you would be richer than nearly every poaster who has ever poasted. I'm not saying that would have been easy or simple to do. But theoretically you could have done it. And if you just buy stocks that are good generally you will be fine anyway and if they're 'wonderful super companies' you will shoot the moon. For 95% of people this works incredibly well. Buffet, however made billions by making approximately two decisions per year for 50 years.
I'm not gonna front buttcheeks and pretend like I'm some kind of security analyzing guru. I don't actually know what I'm doing. I'm just saying there is a way to beat the S&P long term. With conviction. If you find a way to convince yourself of something beyond a reasonable doubt like Michael Burry shorting the housing market in 2008. But you have to be right. Not saying I personally am capable of this but in the infinite scope of humanity it is theoretically possible to be an irl investing genius. |
