For example, if you plan a kids birthday party and you want to have a few sodas for parents, they'll insist on selling you a "drinks" package at $30 per person - meaning you're paying $460 for 3 diet cokes and an ice tea.
Was planning an event for adults at a place that I'm sure sells $6 beers. They're trying to upsell me a "drink package" at $24 per person where everyone gets 1 drink. It's $34 for them to get two drinks. Keep in mind, half the people will not drink and and it's not a full bar.
In theory it should be cheaper to have a party but PE has figured out that's a way to just fleece customers because they don't want to look cheap in front of guests. So it's like "$37 for per person for cupcakes at a go kart track? Well people have to have cupcakes!"
