the weird thing is in THIS bubble earnings are actually keeping pace with share prices, at least among F500 and Big Tech. It’s not a bunch speculation based on future earnings like the dot com bubble. They’re actually earning that money right now.

It’s a crazy situation man.
The money that the government pushed into Project Stargate was $500BN, it was basically a form of quantitative easing. Multiply that by 15-20 and you have 7.5 TN to 10 TN added to index value…which approximates the increase we have experienced since it was announced.
4x’ing the money supply during Covid and then injecting more money is fucking crazy. That said, where do you put the money? So much currency is out there.
All this AI capex is going the direction of railway mania. AI’s a viable business and technology but I don’t know much about where it will ultimately end up - I do think that index funds and Wall Street has enabled insane excess and ultimately everyday people will foot the bill.
That said I think it’s futile to try and time a cycle or bet against this stuff. I’d settle for diversifying into hard assets as a hedge.
