Date: August 31st, 2026 9:12 PM Author: Jared Baumeister #1 works in concrete. I'm not sure exactly what he does but he mentioned running a big augur 85 feet deep for Microsoft in the Chicago area. He said this is his 3rd gig with Microsoft and they pay him enough they he can retire soon. He said they take him out to nice restaurants.
#2 is a union plumber based out of Cedar Rapids. He follows the jobs and gets $400/wk per diems to travel, plus he gets paid 3x his normal rate. He does jobs for Meta, which he said is financed by Blackrock, and they are stingy. No fancy restaurants, although he knows other companies are doing that. But as long as he chases the gigs and cops dat per diem he says he's making a fortune |
