afaik Gen-Xers were born into a world where they were collectively warred against and effectively strangled in the crib by Boomers unable to come to terms with the passage of time while filled with a thieving resent over their lost youth
Boomers then, realizing their error, coddled the shit out of the following generation while also passing on and promoting the absolute worst parts of their culture as some kind of mass salvatory vanity project, probably gambled on in a sort of frantic desperation. The results of this brought us all of this insane lib shit due to the massive and thoughtless overcorrection. There was a solid middle ground that could've been built on there instead but Boomers are a generation of excesses
Some millennials (mostly conservatives or actual lib-dem centrists) and most non-feral Zoomers will make good parents but by then it's probably going to be too late for Homo Americanus. The sexual revolution and its consequences, folks

Gen X wasn’t just left behind, they were actively destroyed, suffocated by the weight of a failing economy, a bankrupt culture, and a world that had no place for them. They were the generation of the Sega 32X: meant to be an add-on, a future-expansion for a society that no longer cared to evolve. In the end, they were just another casualty of history’s infinite regression, irrelevant and forgotten, the doomed appendage of an empire already on the brink of collapse. The Boomers had their glory, and the Millennials may find theirs, but Gen X—the are the ones who will always be remembered as the generation that never had a chance.
