If I keep working, as this pumo put it, as an empty suit lawyer for $500k per year, I can pay for my kids to go to college, give them money for a down payment on a house or grad school or to start a business, do things I enjoy with them like skiing and going to Disney World and getting a beach house each summer, and never worry about money along the way. I'm still on track to retire in my early 50s. Of course I'd rather retire sooner, but on balance, continuing to work and save makes more sense. |
