I was like "haha they suck," when literally millions of "IT" and "manufacturing" jobs disappeared.

The tech bubble pop insane, and that was like millions of permanent job losses, and 100% of them were Gen X since boomers can't use computers. Not just pets.com but like thousands of corporate IT departments getting offshored.
Do you remember the headlines? Six million manufacturing jobs disappeared in the 2000s. All were Gen X.
