Am I sympathetic? Sure, it sucked. But literally everyone suffered during the Korean War and the occupation. One of my great uncles got blown up by an artillery shell. Another one was killed right before he was supposed to take his appointment as prime minister. Shit, even the Royal Family suffered greatly, the war profiteers lost family members, nobody was immune.
