Others were talking about breaking up the check 16 ways at the time of the orders which is insane for any large group. Breaking it up by couple isn't really as bad, because at most it requires the waitress to input 3-4 different sets of orders per couple versus like 10 bros all asking to get their shit individualized.

Seems like there's a million ways to make some sort of faux pas at these places. Dishes comprised entirely of exotic ingredients to the point where you don't know what it is at all. Disorganized menus. Is this an app? Is it a side? Are sides mostly optional here, or are you really supposed to get a few because your entree doesn't come with anything?

I honestly wasn't hungry and agreed to the dinner not realizing that one of the wives would change the plans last minute (I met everyone for pre meal drinks at a hotel and they were like "plans changed!") to one of the more expensive restaurants in town.

I don't care that I was "out Chadded" by the guy who paid for it, that was extremely nice of him, he refused to let me pay him back, and I got him like 4 drinks at the bar we went to after. I acknowledge that he has a lot more money and status than me.
