Given all the reading and stress of 1L, this is still doable right? Roughly 10 hour a week commitment when you factor in commute/shower. Also, is this doable through finals or do most 1Ls quit/scale back their workout routines around Novemeber?
Also, any tips of eating well during 1L when you are under pressure and want to eat out all the time with friends. Tyia fit law doods!

even though I am kinda sure you called me flame earlier today, I will pitch in as I got in the best shape of my life beyond college athletics in LS.
1) workouts. There is definitely time for this. You have to be efficient. No long lingering workouts staring at the weights. Go hard. Go full blast. Exhaust whatever are doing. Hence, why I have trolled hard for calisthenics. This is a great way to exhaust yourself with minimal chance for injury. If you are careful, you still exhaust yourself with lifts. I would advise judicious use of smith machines and the like to help double attack a muscle group. For example, bench hard. When you are done, jump on a press smith machine and finish off. In terms of cardio--INTERVALS. not like coast at 6 or 7, I mean warm up at 6 and blast at 9 or higher. If you do this for 5 minutes (yes, FIVE), you will results. If your workouts are going beyond half hour, you are not working out hard enough (this will cause some rancor here and I am SURE a nice subthread wasteland, but i speak from only my own experience so there it is).
2) food. prep at home. in terms of protein, no shame in having cans of tuna, an opener, a loaf of bread and peanut butter in your locker. If you want cooked food, buy a huge bag of breasts at Costco that prep in 10 minutes. cook them AFTER you eat at home and make like three meals in a row. buy like healthy bars. drink water.
3) studying as a general matter. don't fucking read all the cases. learn the black letter law from barbri materials, commercial outlines, passed around outlines from student orgs (only reason you join any of these is their outline banks) or buddy event shit. Take and retake old exams using IRAC. issue spot old exams. dont fucking brief cases. dont be afraid to look like an asshole because you dont know the whole procedural posture of a case when you cold called. doesnt matter. let gunners pick up the fucking slack. they will "overtrain" for class and then you notice be quiet as FUARK second semester 1L once grades come in.
if you INSIST on going to LS despite ALL GOOD REASONS NOT TO, the above will help you not go insane. especially staying fit or getting fitter throughout. I graduated and everyone pretty much looked like shit. dont be that guy.
