i poasted a couple weeks ago that i'd put around half my 401k balance into BTC and ETH ETFs and some faggot was on here calling me a retard because i didn't buy in at $16k. nevermind that nobody was able to do that with their 401k funds because the ETFs didn't exist then. |

anyway, given that i made the stupid decision not to take a 401k loan (my plan limits loans to $50k, but maybe the 401k that your employer offers allows you to borrow the entire balance) a few years ago, can you explain why it's such a stupid idea to buy the BTC or ETH etfs now? i assume you think that going forward both of these are going to underperform the stock indices?
also, lmao at (((management fees))). both are 0.25%. all my gains are getting eaten up by jewish fees! actually, you just gave me a good idea. i'm going to pull out the $1 million i have in my 401k and pay all the associated penalties and give up all the tax benefits associated with that and just put the money into BTC, that way i won't get raped by these exorbitant fees. |

It's simple as. You should be averaging out and taking profits at record highs, not *starting* to accumulate. You easily had the information and opportunity. to buy at much lower prices. I myself made numerous threads titled "This is your ONE LAST CHANCE to buy sub $10k BTC. Don't fuck it up." I made probably 20+ of these threads over a period of several years, at price ranges from below $10k all the way up into the 50s. At any time, you could have taken my advice and bought in at much better entry points, but you fucked up over and over despite my explicit warnings not to fuck it up.
As for why ETFs are shit, as I said, (((managememt fees))) will kill your return. There is also the problem that you yourself do not have custody of the BTC. You can only trade during stock market hours, and it just sits there in your account as dead money. You can't use it as collateral for a loan, you can't deploy it to earn passive income, it just sits there doing nothing while you hope that number go up. |
