But if we settle into a posture that is basically “torture China’s economy as much as possible” there is a fair bit of logic to that basic thesis and the WH can be “right” and make progress on major problems with our economy across a much wider set of outcomes. some of the criticism from xoxo aimed at chinks is correct. specifically, there is a confidence problem innately in the culture that does go all the way to the top (see wolf warrior diplomacy and chinas final warning LMFAO). the entire culture around saving face is just compensation for insecurity. |
