Lyft driver last night wouldn't drive until we "bought" $1 masks from him

Stuff is mostly open around here now, people don't wear masks especially going out for drinks at night. I've only started taking ubers the last two weeks, none of the drivers gave a shit until this night but I will admit being wrong - it was this dudes car, we should have just done what he asked and respected his wishes. Even though he didn't bother rolling the windows down, and I told him to roll them down once we started driving if he felt uncomfortable (he didn't do it). So at the time we thought he was just hustling us.
Also I apologize for the "Asian dude" comment. It is xo, and I was providing context, but I certainly feel bad if including that detail offended anyone here. Apologies to Earl, nutella, and anyone else with that. Maybe I should have mentioned that my friend in the uber raising the most hell about the driver trying to sell us masks was himself asian too.

alright, this one blew up on me lol
Stuff is mostly open around here now, people don't wear masks especially going out for drinks at night. I've only started taking ubers the last two weeks, none of the drivers gave a shit until this night but I will admit being wrong - it was this dudes car, we should have just done what he asked and respected his wishes. Even though he didn't bother rolling the windows down, and I told him to roll them down once we started driving if he felt uncomfortable (he didn't do it). So at the time we thought he was just hustling us.
Also I apologize for the "Asian dude" comment. It is xo, and I was providing context, but I certainly feel bad if including that detail offended anyone here. Apologies to Earl, nutella, and anyone else with that. Maybe I should have mentioned that my friend in the uber raising the most hell about the driver trying to sell us masks was himself asian too.
