do people typically accept their offers following their summer associate stint right away? I was offered at my summer firm, but i'm actually exploring some other firm options as a 3L and was wondering how long i could delay my answer while I wait to see if these other options pan out.

Why don't you just ask the recruiting people at your firm? They're not going to be rescind your offer just for asking.

i'm just wondering if i'm gonna stick out like a sore thumb by waiting until the last minute to decide. I figure there will be some contact between the firm and myself during the decision period and obviously dont want to tell them that I havent decided yet because i'm exploring other options.

If you take your time, they are going to assume you are considering other options, you don't need to tell them. They may reach out to you and try to wine you and dine you a bit, or they may not. Who really cares? They see this all the time (esp. with people who split).

This is such a hilariously bad idea. If you want to explore other options, go for it. But accept their offer now.

right, because after you worked there for a summer and left them for some place else the doors will be wide open. they would drop you in a second flat if it benefited them, and you should treat them the same way
