I screwed up 2L year. I took only classes that were curved and more difficult, thinking:

these classes are more useful and interesting

don't care to listen to dipshits opine on broad policy matters

hate writing papers

will just work hard and get good grades anyway

Got bad grades 2L. Still got a job so it's ok, but now as a 3L I'm taking seminars and they are like a fucking dream compared to real classes. These are going to be much easier, many profs give all As, and I don't actually mind all the share-your-thoughts stuff after all.

Last semester I took 4 seminars. 4 papers was rough at the end, but so much easier than 4 exams. Got ridiculously good grades.

My post was hyperbolic, obviously, but it's not much of an exaggeration. As long as you don't seriously fuck something up on an exam, you're pretty much guaranteed at least a B+. This is especially true during 2L/3L when 1/3 or more of the class has checked out.

at our school (at T25), the upper-class seminars are curved B+/A-. if there are realy very few people in a seminar (like 5), then the curve might be higher.

nevertheless, upper class exam classes also have noticeably higher curves. so a lot of us do not really go for seminars because they involve much more work.
