Are you not ceding the meta?
Also ljl at saying she lacks policy chops or substantive policy positions. If anything it is her willingness to even dive one level deeper than the "we are going to win again folks" shtick that trump runs that will hurt her. Trump talks so vaguely that it is basically word salad and it never bothers you.

Trump is a power player who knows not to get boggled down in semantics. At end of day all of these so called enormously complicated questions can be boiled down to the basic who gets what when where and why boilerplate shit.
That being said we were critiquing AOCs interview. If you read a transcript of Trump's interviews you will agree that he doesn't sound all that different than AOC re policy chops

the diff is that she poses as a Bernie ca. 2015 type one minute, and then goes "we need 'safe passage' for all illegals" + the rest of the sjw standard fare the next. it's less about criticizing her for being identitarian than it is cutting through the b.s. way that the media has allowed her to be portrayed as some kind of old-left revival. if she were just another sjw shitlib we wouldn't gaf

there is a bit of pirana instinct that's easy to join in on with the internet and she may be an example of that. at the end of the day, she's likely a freshman congressman from a poor AF district that doesn't have any power on it's own except that it's in the sphere of "NYC" ostensibly.
is she a sign of MAYBE the dem party losing control of it's factions? maybe? maybe not.
she's a young chick who i will guess was viewed by someone as "i could this chick into a star" and away they went without REALLY digging into seeing if she had the chops to do it.
i dunno. i'm just spitballing.
EDIT: i'm realizing that she's not ACTUALLY from a poor AF district. correction noted.

i'm just talking about the view of her from the right.
as it related to the intra-left dynamic, yeah. first the freakout, then the trying to co-opt her (see e.g. her going on every late night show and getting softballs designed to make her look moderate). dem establishment will shift between trying to make her and her ilk look like idiots and trying to make them look completely mainstream as it suits them (cf GOPe w/ the tea party). best case for the Pelosi's is she turns into the marco Rubio of the left. worst, she's the canary in the coal mine for the octogenarian white old guard of the party, that will increasingly be willing to take a 28 year old Latina hipster ditz w/ no pol. exp over a 60 year old white establishment player
