Date: November 23rd, 2024 12:53 AM Author: lex the second line describes a generic RPG. gothic has you start as a prisoner stripped of everything. it takes forever to find any weapon better than a club, and almost all early progression is an uphill battle until you eventually beat one other human -- they can all kill you almost instantly because you have nothing and are inept at everything -- and take a real weapon. the reason i suggested it is that the progression is interesting. it's not just getting stronger or better stuff because that's what you do in video games. You'd have an epic sword + dragon scale armor so the random muggers would also have an epic sword + dragon scale armor.
