Can lawyers get to it the same way they can freze your brokerage and savings accounts? Or if you get sued bitcoin is off-limits and can cash out in Russia or thai?

What's that? I am looking for a reliable asset that's also off-limits. I.e. bitcoin short supply so it might or might not outperform s&p long term but certainly outperform a savings account. Is there any precedent of lawyers getting someone's bitcoin i.e. if sued for divorce or malpractice(I just heard of some doctor getting $75mln lawsuit pwned right before he was to retire).

Question is if I get divorced or "malpractice" pwned and the lawyers are able to find out my bitcoin transactions(i.e. trace it back to bank deposit), can they actually freeze a bitcoin account the same way as a bank account? The plan would be to move to a foreign country and cash out there.

There was just a case where the judge held the defendant in contempt of court until he turns over his wallet keys. I believe he's been in jail for 2 years now. You can look it up.

This is the only route if your crypto is on a hard wallet, but it appears 100% effective (how could it not be?)

Not sure anything about Monero, don't even know how it works.

I don't know anything about bitcoin. So if I get that hard wallet and then want to cash out in another country can they not freeze my account and steal it back to usa? Alternatively if I just have a regular brokerage account and want to cash out I just transfer to savings->wire to dubai->wire to Russia. Then it's safe as long as Russia doesn't try to take it from me

Your private key to the Blockchain cannot be frozen. This would be like "freezing" the relationship of your body to Earth's gravitation.

I am thinking of accumulating bitcoin to get into TT lifestyle. I.e. buy 1 bitcoin, keep it on my USB. It appreciates better than gold and without any tax. Then when I go to Russia or similar country I can exchange small amount of bitcoin for rubles. Can get a debit card without worrying about putting any serious money on it to trigger local irs.

How do I buy bitcoin without kyc? Are there exchanges that let you do it in usa? The whole point is to have a few bitcoins if I have to move to Russia or thai

before tech geniuses invented storing wealth in Digital Gold, lawyers invented arcane concepts called “trusts.” not as cool i guess as a 100% seizable monetary asset on your computer but you should look into it
