Date: May 6th, 2025 10:05 AM Author: Chartreuse Locale king gizzard and the lizard wizard are really special. very technical without being too cerebral, incredibly productive, fun and experimental, serious and heavy, with a thriving and diverse fan scene and great 2-3 hour shows. they can veer into jam band territory but immediately turn into a legit thrash band. their roots are in garage-psych rock but they've pretty much played everything at this point. and they're a bunch of childhood friends from australia, the real deal.
for american roots stuff, check out zac top, trey hensley, marcus king, molly tuttle, punch brothers, and billy strings.
