They came up with these tax credits specifically to hurt Tesla and favor the legacy car makers by setting price restrictions - but Elon just lowered the prices of Teslas and every other car manufacturer got obliterated (who the fuck is buying a Hyundai EV when it is the same price as a Tesla).

Biden invested $7.5 billion in EV charging stations, which is actually something the government is theoretically best equipped to do and should be within the wheelhouse since they control the fucking highways, and those billions of dollars have produced 7 new charging stations in 2 years. Biden had to go to Elon and beg him to open up his network (Elon built 2,000+ stations).

So Biden's term is almost complete and every car maker is CUTTING BACK on EV production, and there is no charging network for anything that's not a Tesla.

It's a master class in government failure. Billions of dollars spent, on something consumers actually wanted when he took office (huge waiting list for EVs), and it ends up with Tesla even more dominant.

i originally had a PHEV but it got totaled at the time when there were <><><>NOCARS<><><> and tesla was the only suitable option available. i'd probably go with a PHEV next time but i rarely need to charge and the incentives for any EV are insane. even if you hate EVs you can get something like a rav4 prime and really maximize the kiked out incentives.
