This is subtly hinted at in the scene where vader summons bounty hunters onto the bridge of the executor with some of the bounty hunters clearly requiring wheel chair accessibility and control panels clearly, though again subtly, suggesting employment of braille. Lucas talked about this in the dvd commentary after the 90s re-release. Turns out lucas heavily associated the plaintiffs bar with imperial style fascism after law suits plagued him in the making of steel magnolias and this was his way of symbolizing his resistance.
