Bill Clinton was a pretty good POTUS outside of his economic record

The Lewinsky thing really damaged his prospects for a decent legacy
From what I recall he had an LBJ style of leadership and direction but was much less abrasive towards his subordinates than Johnson infamously was. Those were pretty golden years for the country

wow i had a several paragraph reply to this typed up and my ancillary laptop died and erased it all
rip. not typing that again
tldr there's a faction of market liberal that clearly wants to reduce the great deal of people within the populace to the level of utterly manipulable cattle and it's important to avoid language or ideas that might imply that you're a part of this group as it's seeming pretty likely that once they're named and identified in the minds of the public they're not going to be around for much longer
media companies bear the lion's share of responsibility for the types and quality of content and information that they put out to the masses and these sorts of decisions are made on a top-down basis. it's hard to credibly give the majority of the blame to the average viewer when accounting for the burdens and stresses they're under on the day to day

i don't disageee with your first paragraph i just think you have the causation backwards in the second. if the media landscape disappeared people would still be the same. the media landscape became what it was because it catered to (and took advantage of) human nature.
and i know this to be true because we've seen the traditional media landscape decline significantly and people still choose salacious slop over nuance and truth. thats why i put feuntes and destiny in the mix with pier and maddow.
with an endless sea of options people still choose slop. there isn't a top-down force. in fact in fuentes case he was canceled for a time from major platforms. there are plenty of highbrow and nuanced sources at everyones finger tips.

i mostly agree but a few comments:
1) gdp going up does indeed make housing go up in absolute terms, but not necessarily in real terms. i.e. if peoples jncomes had rose at the rate of gdp then the real price of housing would not go up even if the price in dollars did.
2) i dont think the housing prices are fairly attributed to the economy being too strong to meet demand. that statement doesnt even make sense in this context becaue with sufficient resources a functioning economy will meet a demand unless something prevents it. which is whats happening here.
