"Independent" devs that aren't quite "indie" but who like sniffing their own farts are a pain in the ass with price drops btw. Larian and Nintendo. This is fundamentally the "delta" with the State of Game Prices. If you got screwed by NAFTA in 1996 you could get Yoshi's Island for SNES for $20. It wasn't that bad. Discuss. |

Everyone is saying that it's "open world" and you can tackle the dungeons in any order, but the difficulty is linear and there is no way you'd tackle them out of order unless you just wanted a huge challenge and see how the newspapers are different.
Because of the Absolute State of Gaming this is still the frontrunner for GOTY imo. |

Open world RPGs have more of a chance at being good than open world Normal Games
Idk why someone doesn’t just combine the most popular genres. Like COD open world that uses the flight sim bing maps irl where you can go to the irl Middle East hot spots and shoot moslems. Or a COD where you play as NFL players with guns who shoot each other instead of play football. Every map would be an NFL stadium. Or like an open world RPG where you play as one of 300 NFL players and you gain xp and money by playing football. |
