We had a child. I love this damn girl (10 months now) more than well y’all know. It feels like everything I do now is negative. I can’t do anything right. I am currently going through a divorce. Something I never thought I would have to go through. It has only been about 4 months or so and the ex has already found a new guy (who looks weirdly almost like me.) She thinks its ok to bring him around the house and do things with him that we never got to do because she always had some sort of excuse or reason. Well I told her I do not want him around the kids or at the house I have put the work into paying for and getting fixed and I do not want him in the bed I paid for. Does that make me the asshole? Am I wrong for not wanting a random guy around our kids that she barely even knows (that im aware of) that she is in a relationship with already? She claims to be "friends" but I seen the messages between them. Nothing about that vibe said friend. We were together for 10 years. I wanted to fix what was broken. She refuses to try anything. That is fine but she started talking to this dude and other guys almost right away when I got kicked out of the house. It is like she put her old life on pause and jumped right back into the attention she claimed she wouldn't be getting because "Guys are not worth it. I want to work on myself"

P.S. The day I got kicked out, we had a conversation and it was only suppose to be a separation period so we could take a "breather" and then be friends and re-spark what we had. But she lied about that. Worse part about all this? I am still madly in love with her and still see her as my future. I do not have any interest in any one else.

Long Post, need any advice and someone to talk too…

I’ll be the first to admit I messed up. During my divorce (with 3 young daughters, now 6,4,2) I gave into my ex wives wishes and trusted her to keep her word. I gave her full custody and got off the deed to the house, with the verbal agreement she wouldn’t sell the house or move out of state. Well she did, she moved from Florida to South Dakota. My children and I had pretty consistent communication, at least a couple times a week along with me going to South Dakota for 10 days in February to watch them while my ex went on a work conference. It’s always been my intention to move to South Dakota as well to be around them, my ex knew this and was supportive of it. I’m in South Dakota now (Arrived 4/27/26 at noon) , but about a month before moving here she entered a new relationship. The kids and my communication started dwindling fast. Once she saw that I was actually moving here, she sent me a ton of false accusations about me and said she wasn’t comfortable and that the kids are happy without me. When I arrived I tried contacting her multiple times so we can talk and I can see my kids (last I spoke with my kids I told them I was moving soon, I want them to know I made it). She’s been slowly pushing me out for over a month, and today at 4:25 a cop knocked on my door with a no contact order. I have over a month of documentation and screen shots proofing the start and continuation of her alienating me from my children. I’m in a super depressed state right now, I’ve been working hard and moving accordingly for months to make this move possible and she has made it 10x harder. I honestly just need someone to talk to about it and hopefully get more detailed advice then “you need a lawyer” because I understand that and that’s my next goal, but of course their not cheap. Has anyone else been through this ? How did you stay sane, on track, and how did you overcome this obstacle ?

Recently, my relationship with stepson has really deteriorated. It's like a clash of personality - he's borderline ADHD, and I'm an introvert. He can't keep still and I can't cope with the noise.

It's gotten to the point that we snipe at each other. I'm not proud, I feel terrible. I just don't know how to cope, or how to improve things. He ends up crying, and I'm filled with anger (nothing physical, no shouting, I keep it to myself, but it's overwhelming) It's got to the point his mother is getting cross with me, which makes me feel awful (shame).

And it doesn't help that his bio dad is very much in the picture. I loathe the man, but it's part of the deal I signed up for. He walks into our home without announcing himself, buys shit that we have to deal with, leaves the place a mess. And does zero actual parenting. Hasn't got a job, pays no support, provides no help.

My ex wife is moving out in a few weeks. Today she asked me for $500 to buy balloons for her balloon business she is getting off the ground. She has already maxed out all of her cards presumably and is wanting to buy more. I told her no, I’d be more willing to when she starts doing things with the balloons. For context, she is getting a large check to move out and I’ll be paying her monthly for the rest of her equity.

When I told her no she got extremely mad. I gotta draw the line somewhere right? We have been separated for almost 2 years and I’ve been supporting her the entire time and I’m just financially stressed from her thousands of dollars of existing a month.
