2) If he actually sticks with the tariffs for the duration of his term (or at least a couple years) while I think it's retarded it's at least admirable that he's doing something. But I doubt this will actually happen
3) Our economy has been reserve currency-backed smoke and mirrors since the dotcom bubble so I would've said yes to this no matter what Trump (or any other president) is doing. If he sticks with tariffs I think this just accelerates the inevitable world acknowledging China #1. I also think this doesn't really matter that much given the entire structure of society is going to get turned upside down over the next couple decades as automation accelerates.
