But I doubt this will actually happen 3) Our economy has been reserve currency-backed smoke and mirrors since the dotcom bubble so I would've said yes to this no matter what Trump (or any other president) is doing. If he sticks with tariffs I think this just accelerates the inevitable world acknowledging China #1. I also think this doesn't really matter that much given the entire structure of society is going to get turned upside down over the next couple decades as automation accelerates. |

In any case we don't have the raw IQ manpower to compete with a country that has a median IQ at least five points higher (probably more like 7-8 these days) and 4x the population.
