Decent entertainment shop. Solid on litigation, but they pop up a fair amount on the transaction side too. Small and lean.

Eh, I haven't run across them on the transaction side, but I could swear some of my colleagues have mentioned them. I could be wrong though.

I've done a couple of film deals (basically copyright securitizations), but,IIRC, only seen Akin, Skadden and OMM on the other side.

I'd consider that mainstream deals that happen to be entertainment rather than core practice. I doubt you'd see them outside of core practice as a small boutique. They just dont pull in the deals you're talking about.

Also, like I said, financing and acquisitions mostly from what I know.

Makes sense, though from what I understand securitizations and commercial bank revolvers have become a very large part of the film financing market, at least at the major studio level. You're definitely right that they're not that different than any other deal except that the IP team gets to bill the shit out of the deal, though.

Huge part. Hedge funds have been mucking around there too. A number of the larger banks, like Soc-Gen, of sacked their film lending divisions though.

They're known for entertainment. They have other areas, but that's the flagship.
